At Lakeshore Baptist Church, we believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus in our own backyard. On the first Tuesday of every month, our team heads to the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana to help pack food boxes for seniors and families in our 12-parish region.
Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, there’s a place for you on the line!
When: The 1st Tuesday of every month.
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (approx.).
Where: 4600 Central Avenue, Monroe, LA 71203.
What we do: Sort and pack non-perishable food items into boxes for distribution.
To keep everyone safe in a warehouse environment, the Food Bank has a few simple requirements:
Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory (no sandals or flip-flops). Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty.
Environment: The warehouse is not climate-controlled, so dress for the weather!
Age Limits: Great for families! Children age 12 and up are welcome to volunteer when accompanied by an adult.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink..." — Matthew 25:35
The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana serves over 25,000 people every month. By spending just one hour packing boxes, you are helping ensure that our seniors and children don't have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.
